The link below is for the 2008 Jury Instructions:
Unlike other lawyers, I want you to have this. It helps me to help you with your case. It is your case. The decision to go to trial, or to not go to trial, is your decision. It cannot be an informed decision if you do not know what the Jury will be instructed on YOUR particular case.
Many lawyers want to play hide the ball. They do not want you to know what instructions the jury will be provided. They do not want you to be informed. It is good for their business the less you know.
The reason is as follows, they need you to take the first plea you are offered. The less you know the better. The less you know the more likely it is that you will have to do what they tell you to do. The less you know, the more likely you will take the first plea you are offered, you are completely reliant upon them. The less you know, the less you will know if the first plea that your lawyer is offered is a good deal or not. It may be a good deal. It may not be a good deal. It may not be what is in your best interest. Do you know? We do know that it sure is good for their business. They are what are called “plea merchants.”
Now you know why I want to share with you the Colorado Jury Instructions for your case. The more you know, the more informed YOU can be. The better we can work together.
